ÉCOLEFLÂNEURS schätzt sich glücklich, einige Stockpatinnen und -paten in Ihren Reihen zu haben. Stockpaten sind Menschen, die von überall her Spazierstöcke zusammentragen, die bis zum Zeitpunkt ihrer Auffindung schon eine beachtliche und zumeist geheime Gehensgeschichte erlebt haben. Diese Stöcke überlassen die Patinnen und Paten uns.

Wir bei ÉCOLEFLÂNEURS überarbeiten jeden einzelnen Stock von Hand und geben ihm die unvergleichliche rote Signalfarbe – als poetisches Augenzwinkern und als Startsignal in ein neues Gehenskapitels. Eine Überschreibung, ein Palimpsest am Objekt.

ÉCOLEFLÂNEURS is lucky to have a few stick sponsors in its ranks. „Stockpaten“ (as we call them) are people who collect walking sticks from all over the world, who have already experienced a remarkable and mostly secret walking (hi)story by the time they are found. The sponsors leave these sticks to us.

We at ÉCOLEFLÂNEURS rework each individual stick by hand and give it the incomparable red signal colour – as a poetic wink and as a starting signal for a new chapter of walking. An overwriting, a palimpsest on the object.
